We are excited to welcome you to Detroit for UnDemo Day® 2026!
Stay: There are several hotel options in downtown Detroit. We have a room block at The David Whitney ($299/night).
Getting to Detroit: Detroit Metro Airport (DTW) is the largest and most common airport to fly in and out of when visiting the area. It’s a 25 minute drive to downtown.
Arriving at The Department at Hudson’s: The Department is located at 1000 Nick Gilbert Way in Detroit. All attendees will enter The Department at the corner of Farmer Street and Nick Gilbert Way. The building is marked with the “DEPT” logo at the corner. Enter The Department on the ground floor and make your way up to Registration on the second floor. There will be signage guiding you to Renaissance events. **Note there is no venue entrance on Woodward Ave.
Parking: Complimentary parking is available in the One Campus Martius parking garage at 1188 Farmer Street. You may utilize any public level and any unmarked space. This is a Metropolis parking structure, so if you do not have the Metropolis app, you will need to register an account upon arrival. There will be a QR code available to you at UnDemo Day registration that will activate complimentary parking. It is a 3-minute walk on Farmer Street from the garage to The Department, located at 1000 Nick Gilbert Way. Exit the garage and turn right on Farmer Street, heading toward Library Park. Continue straight along Farmer Street for about one block, keeping the park on your right. When you reach the Hudson’s block, you will see a designated entrance at the corner of Farmer and Nick Gilbert Way, marked with the “DEPT” logo at the corner of the building. Enter The Department on the ground floor and make your way up to Registration on the second floor. There will be signage guiding you to Renaissance events.
Street parking and other lot parking is also plentiful in the vicinity of The Department. Most hotels offer valet parking.
Walking: Most downtown hotels are walkable to The Department (5-10 minute walk, sidewalks the entire route). If you are walking, use 1000 Nick Gilbert Way as your destination. **Note there is no venue entrance on Woodward Ave.
